India Business Consulting was founded by Rekha Mahadevan, who brings over 25 years of international business experience. Ms. Mahadevan has had significant operational experience in human resources and finance at several leading U.S. corporations, including Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies and Hyatt Corporation. She has made significant contributions to off-shoring from the U.S. to India, and to other key initiatives such as re-structuring, change management, outsourcing and global process and program implementation. Her comprehensive understanding of global organizational dynamics, with a focus on bottom line results, is an invaluable asset to our clients.

Born in India, Ms. Mahadevan was introduced to different cultures at a very young age. As the daughter of a diplomat to the United Nations, she has lived in six countries in Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. Ms. Mahadevan's international business career began in the Middle East where she built a successful import business, sourcing products from four countries. Her interest in consulting has been influenced by her grandfather who was the founding Managing Director of India's first telecommunication company. Upon retirement, he established one of the first consulting firms in India.

The combination of Ms. Mahadevan's corporate experience and international experience gives IBC its outstanding international management capability. Her understanding of multinational corporations and her insight into different cultures have led to her success as a cross-cultural business consultant. She is uniquely able to understand and address the challenging situations her clients are facing in the U.S. and India.

In addition to Ms. Mahadevan, India Business Consulting provides its clients access to a network of cross-cultural professionals in both India and the U.S. Together with her colleagues, Ms. Mahadevan can creatively design and effectively deliver services exactly appropriate to a wide range of clients.
